The Edtech Podcast Website Launch - some cool features you might like to know about
Hello everyone, I hope you are very well.
I am writing this short note as our website is now live, 465 days after launching our first podcast episode! There are some other cool features I thought you might like to know about:
- Global Edtech Events Calendar - this is open and editable so event organisers can populate with events and listeners can easily browse in one place the events coming up which they might like to know about. The Edtech Podcast supports the mission of WomenEd: #WomenEd is a grassroots movement which connects existing and aspiring leaders in education. Even though women dominate the workforce across all sectors of education there still remain gender inequalities, particularly at senior leadership level. The situation regarding BME leadership is even more dire considering the fact that the student population is becoming increasingly diverse. This situation is clearly unacceptable and rapid change is needed. #WomenEd will therefore campaign and use its collective power to make improvements, so that there is a more equitable balance in terms of gender and ethnicity at leadership level across all sectors of education. http://www.womened.org/

In addition to documentary shorts, which highlight inspiring individuals from around the world who found success from speaking Arabic as a second language, the ispeakarabic.com platform provides access to open resources, tools, and kits that expand on the teaching and learning of the Arabic language to non-native speakers.
