Hello everyone!
This week’s episode is a LIVE recording at WISE Paris earlier this year, where we cover T-shaped learners (broad and deep), what Greek mythology can tell us about the modern day role of the mentor, and how formative culture and parents are in the learning journey. Naturally, we throw in a bit of machine learning, investment and pedagogy for a fine recipe for your ears.
Stay in touch and have a great week!

Hello listeners and welcome back to The Edtech Podcast, the show about improving the dialogue between “ed” and “tech” for better innovation and impact.
We kick off this week's episode with our friends at Cool Initiatives to find out more about the CI Education Challenge 2019, why they’re going even more early-stage and details on their 6 finalists.
We continue with our conversations recorded at GESF earlier this year. First up is the highly-driven Dr Yuhyun Park from the DQ Institute, an international think-tank based in Singapore, Korea and the US. Their vision is #DQforAll – empowering every individual with digital quotient (comprehensive competencies to thrive in this digital age) beyond the more talked about IQ and EQ. But what about getting women and girls excited about digital literacy and, more broadly, the sciences? We hear from Global Teacher Prize nominee Emma Russo, a science teacher from the UK whose ambition in teaching has focused on creating and promoting opportunities for girls in physics and engineering.

In this episode you'll hear from;

Hi everyone and welcome to The Edtech Podcast. Our mission is to improve the dialogue between “ed” and “tech” and this week’s no different as we delve into some listener feedback on the edtech strategy published last week by the department for education in the UK. We’ve got to know some of the edtech strategies and approaches by different Governments around the world so it is interesting to reflect on developments closer to home, namely,
Here at The Edtech Podcast we were encouraged to see that these are some of the subjects that we’ve covered in episodes across the past three years, but what is the wider education and edtech sector thinking about these developments? We asked and you delivered! Here’s a selection of your thoughts in this our special episode, with thanks to everyone who contributed. We also include a cut-away to a listener’s experience of a recent 10 Downing St. hosted workshop on how government can better support the development of edtech businesses. Full references in our show-notes. Enjoy!
